S.N.S Herning Stark Review

Sometimes I can be really cheap. Like grocery shopping at my university dining hall cheap. Or going to great lengths to not buy textbooks cheap. I grouponed my way into free laundry for my entire senior year. Or maybe I was just a regular, college student….

Sometimes, however, I like to treat myself to something special and make rich college student decisions. Earlier this year, the S.N.S Herning Stark was that special something (it helped that I got it for cheap on eBay).

The Stark has become one my favorite piece of clothing, alongside my Red Wings and Outlier Tee.The S.N.S Herning Stark is made of 100% virgin wool sheared from a baby dire wolf (couldn’t resist), sports large, sturdy metal buttons and features an intricate box-knit pattern that is both aesthetically pleasing and very durable. The Stark one of the warmest and most unique pieces I own.  It even has a cool name. Stark. (Must avoid Game of Thrones reference). One cool little detail that I really like is that every piece by S.N.S Herning comes with the signature of who knit it; my Stark was made by Revi.

The Stark is a great addition to any wardrobe, and injects any outfit with a bit of texture and a lot of warmth.Throughout Autumn and in early Spring, the Stark serves as a great light jacket. When Winter comes (that wasn’t on purpose), it stands up against the chill quite well. On windier days, I would suggest layering over something more wind-resistant if you want the Stark to serve as your topmost layer. It fits a bit slim too, so you will have to size up if you want to layer a lot.

I have yet to find another sweater/cardigan that is even remotely similar in style and quality. Definitely worth the price. At full price the Stark is quite expensive, but it does show up on quite eBay often so you may get lucky like I did.
